Over the 2 weeks I was with the team in Zambia, I had the most amazing precious moments with team members and just getting to know them. It was challenging the first couple of days I felt like I didn’t really belong in the bigger team and found myself retreating from the team a lot, I would spend lots of one on one time with people, but if we were gathering in bigger groups hanging out I would go and hide, but once I recognized that I asked God to help me to break through because I knew I was supposed to part of this team.
Some of my favourite memories - I loved spending time with a guy Loui I didn’t know really well before the trip, seeing him grow and having a real sense that he is like the big brother I never had. Another afternoon I spent time with another Girl Jess from my team and we had a great chat about what God had been teaching each of us, which was pretty much the same thing.
And the one thing I loved was that there was always music and a sense of worship we had so many blessed musicians in our team, but that wasn’t why we were always were singing, we sung because we knew there is power in praising Jesus. We also experienced great moments of prayer and healing which God was so faithful in.
I loved being inspired by the faith of those around me and the unity we had together.
And after of living with them for 2 weeks I feel like they are my family I love them so much
