Thursday – Running the race, Day 4 – Today was my favourite
day!!
We talked about how running the race of life with Jesus is better than
running the race on our own, we will have obstacles still but Jesus can help us
through. Aaron a guy on my team was part of up front team and he did this
amazing example of our relationship with God, he had a stick the was black, and described how this us before we know God - sick - then he shook it and it
extended into a stick of colours, the next was red and he described that Jesus
died for us, that the red was like his blood, white was next which represented
that God washes us clean so we are white as snow, blue which he described as
the Holy Spirit which means God is always with us, green for growth, and Gold
for heaven our final destination.
The girl I had a vision about on Wednesday night was sitting
next to me and Aaron asked the children to close their eyes and to put up their
hand if they wanted to follow Jesus and have God on in their life and I prayed ‘Please
be at work in these kids hearts, let them respond.’ And I looked up just to see
this beautiful little girl put her hands up and there was no hesitation she
threw both arms high up in the air as high as they could go as if she was
reaching out to touch God, and I watched as she prayed to God and accepted
Jesus as her saviour and it came from her heart, I felt so overwhelmed.
I then I wanted to
see where the boy was, the one in my last photo, I wanted to know if he had put
up his hand and when I saw something that is an image you will hold in your
heart for a lifetime. There he was at the back sitting in the lap of my team
members and him right hand was lifted up and he was holding the hand of my team
member while it was in the air and it was just so beautiful. I looked around
the room and ¾ of the room of children had their hands up and I begun to weep,
lives are being changed at this very moment, how can people not believe in God
when he clearly gives life and hope to those who are in such dark situations.
